While creating your account in the ummadum app you need to confirm your mail address. You receive a mail with a verification link.

You didn't receive your verification mail? Sometimes it takes a few minutes until you receive the mail. Please wait at least 10 minutes and check your inbox again. Please also check your junk mails, if the mail appears there.

If you didn't receive the verification mail after 10 minutes and if the mail also don't appear in your junk mails, please contact us via mail: support@ummadum.com

Since beginning of September there is a new version of the ummadum app available in stores to download. Even if you already had an account in the old version of the ummadum app, you need to register again to create a new account.

No, that's not possible - you need an internet connection to use the ummadum-app. Please connect to the internet to use the app properly.

As a driver, if you don't start your ride, your passengers won't get a notification that you are on your way and they also won't see your geolocation.
You can still start your ride right before you pick up your first passenger. In this case maybe we are going to contact you to verify that your ride really took place. If you start your ride too late, it could be, that points don't get transferred to your account.

You can call or text your driver/passenger via the app.

As a driver or passenger you can cancel a shared or requested ride easily. Just choose the ride and klick on "Cancel".
Passengers which sent a request are receiving a push notification to be informed that the ride had been cancelled.
Drivers which already confirmed a passengers request are receiving a push notification to be informed that the request had been cancelled.

If a user behaves inappropriate (for example using a criminal image or inappropriate behaviour in general) you can report him via the app.
PLEASE NOTE: reporting a user conduces as protection of other users and should only be used in case of inappropriate behaviour. Rating driving performance or any other aspects of participating a ride can be done via our star rating system.

As ummadum driver you don't have to pay income taxes because the costs for driving are higher than the collected ummadum points. Even the legal expenses of 42 cent per kilometer plus 5 cent per passenger is higher than ummadum points from 4 passengers. No matter if you are a driver or a passenger, you don't have to worry, because the liability insurance required by law also pays for passengers. You can redeem collected points at our partner stores. Just open the app and choose the redeem partner - a QR-code/Barcode is generated which is valid for a few minutes. Now you have two options:
a) Big redeem partners can scan your code with their POS. The available amount will be subtracted from your invoice automatically. You receive a confirmation about the successful point transfer directly in your app.
b) At small vendors you show your code to the partner. He scans your code, enters the amount and you confirm the transaction - and the redeeming process is done.

After every ride you can rate your driver/passenger with a "star system". The more stars you give, the better is the rating.

Points get transferred to the driver automatically after a ride. Before the transaction we check if the ride had been executed correctly - the GPS data of driver and passengers gets controlled automatically. If everything is okay, the points get transferred automatically to the drivers account. If there are any discrepancies, the respective user gets a mail which contains further information to the situation and has to adjust with the ummadum support.

When the passenger reaches his destination he can end the ride. The driver can also end his ride when he reaches his destination. If the driver/passenger forgets to end the ride, the ride will be closed automatically 2 hours after the calculated end.

If somebody wants to drive with you, you get a request notification via the app. You can confirm or decline requests. In both cases the person who sent the request will be informed about your decision. Ride requests are also shown next to the respective ride.

To search a ride you need to verify your mobile phone number and have UP for driving on your account.
Insert your requested start point and destination - you can do that by hand or you place the pin on the map.
Insert your requested date and departure time.
Now you see all available rides which fit to your request.
And if there is no fitting ummadum-ride available, you can share this ride by yourself.

You get a list of your last shared rides. So can easily choose on of the last routes or you insert a completely new one.
Start point and destination of your ride can be inserted by hand or you place the pin on the map.
If needed you can add diverse way points on your route.
Insert date and departure time of your ride.
If needed adapt the information of your vehicle.
Now you have shared a ride. You will get a notification via the app when somebody sends you a request.

Your employer or municipality can provide you points you can use for driving together. Your available partner points are listed in your point overview.
While booking a ride just choose your preferred partner and you get a predefined amount of points for the ride. So your costs for the ride get reduced.
